At the dawn of 21st century, on the bedrock of contemporary art, the mechanisms of “repression of the meaning”, “appropriation”, “recycling” and “fabrication” sleeplessly and cunningly operating turn, on the one hand, the creator of a piece of art its viewer into phantasmatic consumers and, on the other, the piece of art itself into an industrial, technological, illusory, phantasmagoric, mass produce.
When art is no longer the standard measure of the intolerable and “Uncontainable” (Αχώρητος) God, then the art itself becomes unbearable, tedious and mediocre.
